Incandescent oysters provide a pleasant diffused light and are ideal for lighting rooms such as bathrooms,bedrooms,hallways and dining rooms where the lights are subjected to frequent on and off switching. The slimline profile of oyster lights also makes them highly suited to use in rooms with low ceilings.
To increase the energy efficiency of these oysters,consider using Crompton Lighting's new range of 'Lightstar' compact electronic fluorescent lamp,which use 80% less energy than standard household (GLS) lamps.

Crompton Lighting was founded in Great Britain in 1878 by Colonel Crompton, the inventor of an ARC lamp containing a shadow reducing filament.
