Sunlight can create an optical phenomenon by the reflection of light through numerous tiny ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere or clouds, creating vertical shafts of light that extend upward (or downward). Light pillars, or columns of light beaming to the sky, are a spectacle that awes onlookers.

To artificially produce a light beam, a lamp and a parabolic reflector is used in many lighting devices, creating a directional projection of light which is beautiful and wondrous.

Incorporating wall lighting into your home adds many new avenues for featuring accents and furniture, extending lighting layers and depth, and developing the atmospheres of different rooms. The right layers in your exterior lighting plan will step things up toward being the most head-turning house on the block.
